I have been busy in the world or work/play with the hsing kids.  A is busy learning the US and lots of fun projects have left the house for school, too.  As usual, the camera either could not be found or did not have batteries but I did find this paste recipe that I thought was super!  enjoy :)  Today A and I  are using it to glue the United States to oak tag and make a state puzzle.

Homemade Paste
1/2 cup flour
cold water
Add cold water to flour until a thick cream forms. Simmer on stove for 5 minutes. Add food coloring or flavoring if desired.  ( The food coloring was an all around BAD IDEA.)

Hey, diddle, diddle . . .
F traced the letter F today and did a 1-5 workbook.  L and F colored pictures and learned the nursery rhyme heigh, diddle, diddle, ..... and we learned that Jack and Jill ran up the hill (thus also the need for paste that ended up being used as paint.)

50 states and so little time......
T made this great picture that was a definitive keeper:  well I guess I NEED TO find a new site since this one is at its limit for uploading photos and I have just started it.

no upload makes me very sad

On another note, I have great fear about the world we are living in.  The Middle East is a wreck and I wonder how much more involved our country is going to make itself.  I wouldn't (very selfishly) want my children harmed by the world any more than they have been.  Should unrest escalate on our soil I fear our already overtaxed government and military would be unable to quell it.
